Rehearsals & Production Information

REHEARSALS and PRODUCTION INFORMATIO

Please arrive early and be ready to begin at the scheduled rehearsal times.  Scheduling conflicts must be addressed with the Executive Director in advance.  Family and friends are not allowed to watch rehearsals.  

MOCK INTERVIEWS 9/22  1-5:30pm 
St. Joseph Mercy Hospital - Chelsea, Private Dining Room
To help you prepare for your private interview we will have one afternoon of mock interview appointments.  The interviews are optional. A sign-up sheet for interviews will be provided at orientation. Each contestant will be introduced and have a timed interview in the same format that will be followed on pageant day.  Following the interview the judges will critique the interview with the contestant. If you find that you are unable to attend a scheduled interview, please allow minimum 24 hours cancellation notice.

REHEARSAL 9/29 1-4pm
Washington Street Education Center
The Judges’ Chairperson will be here to collect all of the judges’ paperwork. This rehearsal is the final deadline for all paperwork, headshots, and music.  Candidates will learn all production numbers and walk patterns.  We will learn the opening number along with our teen candidates.    

DRESS REHEARSAL 10/6 1-4pm
Washington Street Education Center, Prinzing Auditorium
1:00pm  Contestants rehearse all production numbers
     Tech crew run through
2:30pm  Dress Rehearsal begins   
Contestants will be dismissed as soon as the full show rehearsal is completed.    

PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS
The theme of our 2019 production is Celebrate.  It is our Silver Anniversary. For the opening number contestants will need a black cocktail dress or pants of your choice.   No gowns.  Please accessorize your outfit with clear rhinestones.  All other wardrobe requirements will be your competition wardrobe.  

Music for talent competition is due on September 29th.   You may either turn in two CD’s of your talent music or you may email an mp3 version to our producer at spotlightstudiomonroe@gmail.com   Email is preferred.
Music will not be accepted past this date.  NO EXCEPTIONS. The contestant is responsible for making the desired cuts to her music.  The time limit for the talent competition is ninety seconds. The music that you turn is must be of competition quality.  Talent music may not be enhanced.  Example: If you play the violin you may not have your performance part within the background music.  If you find that you are having problems please consult with the producer prior to the deadline.
