MISS AMERICA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISING Miss America has launched a new fundraising requirement for all local, state and national candidates. This fee goes into the Miss America Foundation and is used to fund scholarships at all levels in the Miss America Organization. This is an entirely new format for all of us. If you have any questions please let me know and we will figure them out together. All candidates competing in Local Competitions need to raise a minimum $100 per local (up to four local competitions; $400) and an additional $250 in fundraising to be eligible for their State Competition. The new Miss Michigan will have to raise $500 for Miss America. Instructions to register are listed below. Local candidates who will compete must sign up on the new Spot Fund site, register and fill out all requirements. It automatically says you have to raise $500, but you can change that to whatever goal you choose. And if you raised more or want to raise more, you can put in a higher goal. Follow this link below to register – read carefully all instructions. If this link doesn’t work, you need to move to a more up-to-date browser and/or computer. Phones usually work well . http://spot.fund/MissAmerica2021 THIS NEW FUNDRAISER REQUIREMENT will now replace the CMNH requirement that MAO has had for 13 years. Now all funds raised go directly to Miss America/State Organizations which are scholarship programs. You may also upload small videos or customize your message on the spot fund, however, they ask that you not use crown photos and do not promote your Social Impact Statement as people may think they are donating to that, rather than to our state and national scholarship program. Do not add a title on the initial page as you are not yet a titleholder. That is for titleholders going to state or national. On the page where Camille Schrier’s link is used as an example you should enter your name MI 2021 in the spaces.
