3 weeks until I leave for Miss Michigan and I find myself wondering where the time went…   I feel so blessed to have the title of Miss Washtenaw County and now it is time to pursue another, the title of Miss Michigan!

Over the past months I have been able to experience and accomplish so many things.  From visiting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to stomping grapes at the Discover Milan Day, I have had an array of appearances that leave me with some amazing memories.  One of the greatest aspects of being Miss Washtenaw County is having the opportunity to meet individuals that I otherwise would not.   Forming friendships with community members and sharing my platform with individuals around our county and state has helped me to gain a new appreciation for Michigan and I am excited for what the future holds!

So, what is in store for me over the next three weeks?

This weekend I will be attending the Jackson Road Cruise, where I will have the pleasure of interviewing with Lucy Ann Lance on WAAM 1290 AM and helping with the award ceremony in the evening.  I will also be hosting a wardrobe showing (Kudos to Mom and Laura for putting this together) for my family and friends to get a sneak peak at my competition wardrobe before Miss Michigan.  In the two weeks that follow I have some AMAZING opportunities (I am literally bubbling over with excitement)!  Memorial weekend I will be in the Dexter Memorial Day Parade and I will also have the honor to sing the Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful at the Washtenaw County Memorial Day Service honoring our Nation’s and Washtenaw County’s Fallen Hereos and Veterans.    I am also very excited for the first week in June when I will be helping with the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing with some of my fellow title holders.

These next few weeks are going to fly by, but I am so lucky to have a great group of people around me who will help me along the way!
